Leveling Alliance Guide: Day 2
After my last post I spent a little time with the linen cloth I saved up to help level up my tailoring. In the process, I was able to make some nice armor for myself, as well as get my tailoring high enough to make some linen bags. So now, I have a bunch of 6 slot bags, which have helped a lot.
If you can do it, while following this guide, get the biggest bags you can get. I took on the extra challenge of starting from scratch on a brand new server with absolutely no money at all and it’s actually kinda made leveling a little more fun. Clearly, using this guide would be a lot easier if you’re leveling an alt, or starting from somewhere in the middle with some kind of money, but at the same time, I’m not having a difficult time finding the gold I need. In fact, you can see in the screenshot I’m up to over a gold all ready at level 14. I’m almost all greens (I have one White piece left…my boots) and I haven’t spent a dime at the auction house. Very cool.
At the end of today’s session, I ended up at level 14. I mentioned in my last post that I had to grind to level 10 in order to do my mage quest. There was actually about 4 bars to do, and it didn’t take long at all. Since then, I haven’t had to grind at all. The guide has taken me from Dun Morough, a couple of quests into Loch Modan, and now I’m in Auberdine on the other side of the world.
This is pretty cool, because I’ve never actually quested here much. The only downside is that the closest Mage trainer is in the Exodar (Draenei capital), so training has been a little annoying, but not that far out of the way.
Also, I’m starting to actually like the arrow now. I’ve learned after actually reading how to use the guide, that you can set the arrow to any waypoint on your mini map with a simple right-click. This has made the arrow behave far better, and though not as automatic as maybe it’s pitched to be as, still really handy.
This last session has me pretty impressed with Dugi’s Guide. All I do is open WoW, log in, and continue on with the guide and other than that short bump at the beginning (The Mage quest) I certainly haven’t been stuck on where to go next.
